We were assigned Chris Thompson as our mortgage advisor and he was great from the offset, very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. Once our application was sent to the lender we then were handed over to the capable hands of Kerry Bewell who was also fantastic, always kept us updated with everything that was going on in the background. Leo Shakespeare supported us throughout the process. As first time buyers we needed advice on all aspects of mortgages. Leo gave advice which was simple and easy to understand. He was fast and responding to questions via text and made phone consultations to explain in more depth. During Covid we had a lot of issues trying to find a mortgage lender that would lend 10%, Leo was fast and efficient in finding us lenders that were affordable. Even when the deals ended he was honest and efficient in finding us another. Daniel Beardsmore Then took over the mortgage process and kept us up to date via phone call and email. We contacted York MoneyMan in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic as lockdown was starting to ease slightly. From the very start we received a 5 star service. By this we mean they were open and honest about the financial climate and how our own personal finances would effect our chances. They kept us fully informed all the way through the process. They were always at the end of the telephone or email if we had any queries along the way. We were looked after and would like to kindly thank Matt Collinson, Kayleigh Steward and Megan Burch. They were all excellent to deal with during this exciting but anxious time. It took longer for us to get our mortgage offer due to the pandemic but they got it over the finish line for us and for that we will always be grateful.
